Many of these establishments, especially in regions like Ibiza Island, Malta Island, Goa, Ratnagiri, and Chennai, lacked knowledge and facilities for composting, resulting in large amounts of organic waste being sent to landfills.  To address this, Earth5R conducted a large-scale training program to raise awareness among shop and restaurant owners on how to efficiently compost food waste at their own locations, turning a potential problem into a sustainable solution.
